Hi, my name is Jon and I am the owner/founder of Semper Fido Labradors. I served honorably in the United States Marine Corps for five and a half years. I started my journey as a breeder in January 2017 when I first brought my dame Benelli home at 8 weeks old. My intent was to breed just for the experience for myself and my kids. The idea quickly grew and passion ensued. I have been mentored by 2 breeders along the way, they helped me to better understand the market and what to expect during the whelping, the first 8 weeks of litter care, and the earning of AKC Hunt Titles. I have experienced the AKC hunt tests first hand when I handled Benelli through her Junior Hunt title. I absorbed as much information that I could through other breeders, professional trainers, and hobbyists at the test sites. The hunt tests are fun and exciting, its just amazing to watch some of these dogs at work.

I hope to bring joy to families by producing quality Labrador Retrievers that, through selective breeding; have outstanding instincts, high drive in the field, great temperaments, of higher intelligence, and out right great character. As hard as it is to watch the puppies leave to their forever homes, I will never get over seeing the happiness of their new family. I am thankful for my family and all of their hard work, they are what makes this so special. Our Future is bright.

I’m Vanessa. I am Jon’s partner in life and play a supportive role in the business. For the past two years I have been behind the scenes assisting in the growth and expansion of Semper Fido Labradors. I care for our litters by cleaning, feeding, playing, vet visits, and birthing of puppies. I have helped build DIY projects such as; nesting box, toys, and puppy play gym. I have also assisted in office duties such as; website development, marketing, and orders. I’m definitely the mother of the family team. We have 5 children, soon to be 6 dogs, and at times litters of puppies in our home. It’s a lot of hard work, at the same time, I am seeing all of the hard work starting to pay off. I love the togetherness and team effort that caring for litters has brought to our family. Not only are we growing in business, we are also growing our family connection. That is the biggest pay off of all. I love my family and what I do, wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Hi I’m Tayvia, I am Vanessa’s daughter and Jon’s step daughter. I love helping with the puppies! I take them outside a lot for play time, help my mom and Jon clean the nesting box, along with other puppy duties. I love meeting the puppies new families. It’s comforting to know they are going to good homes with families that love them as much as I do.
